Lya Finston​

​

is an artist and printmaker currently based in Iowa City, where she is pursuing her MFA in Printmaking at the University of Iowa. To date, she has been the instructor of record for Basic Drawing and Intro to Printmaking.

​

Lya has formerly served as a Printmaking TA and Shop Technician for Bucknell University, a Studio Fellow at Spudnik Press, a publishing assistant at Hoofprint, and an Access Services Assistant at the Ryerson & Burnham Library of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Lya graduated from Oberlin College in 2018 with a BA in Studio Art and German Language. She was originally raised in Cranford, NJ.
